For over five years of its existence, Go-Africa initiative Cameroon (GAICAM) has transformed and impacted the lives of thousands of young Cameroonians and ultimately those of other nationalities via its activities. GAICAM is a Social Transformative Organisation created with the vision to transform lives and promote economic growth in Cameroon and Africa at large. Since its existence, given its role in youth Skills Development in Cameroon, it has been able to sign a couple of partnerships with both private and public institutions such as: Regional Delegation of Small & Medium Size Enterprises, Social Economies & Handicraft; The Multipurpose Youth Empowerment Centre (MINJEC) Buea, the University of Buea (UB); The Higher Institute of Management Studies (HIMS) Buea, Kilimanjaro System ltd, Value Health Africa, CELBMD Africa, National Employment Fund, Regional Delegation of Women & the family, Regional delegation for Secondary Education, Jevis & associate Consulting, Fotabe University and a host of other private organizations, all geared towards Youth Empowerment in Cameroon.
GAICAM is an organization fully committed to Youth, Children and Women’s Empowerment in Cameroon, especially via its annual conferences, Training Programs, Professional Workshops, Seminars, life transforming books, as well as our projects: Active Citizens Clubs, Children Foundation, Annual Leadership & Entrepreneurial Fellowship, and its weekly radio program, not forgetting its great role in encouraging and sponsoring of orphans and the less privileged children in school to better their dreams.
GAICAM also annually open its doors to international and national students seeking for internship placements, as well as those seeking to volunteer their services to the organization. For the past year, has been able to received and work with 40 volunteers and 56 interns. But it should however be noted that volunteerism or internship placement opportunities at GAICAM are unpaid and it is therefore intended to allow volunteers and interns to again skills and practical knowledge. However, GAICAM offer Attestation to volunteers and interns, and also help interns prepare their reports at the end of their program.
