GAICAM International Professional Internship Program

About the Internship Program

GAICAM International Professional Internship Program (GIPIP) is a flagship program of GAICAM; an annual professional skills acquisition opportunity for international university students in search of professional institution placement to carry out their academic internship. Since its inception, the program has influenced the careers of many university students, especially those in their final year, by developing their professional skills, building their leadership skills, giving them a competitive edge in the search for a permanent position, strengthening their personal character and opening more doors in their professional aspirations.

GAICAM realized that thousands of students across the globe annually finds it difficult to be integrated into institutions to carry out their academic internships due to lack of orientations, inadequate information and also because many institutions do not like offering opportunity to students to carryout internships in their institutions because of privacy, internal policy and others.  We believe that these students needs to be given the opportunity to blend the theories the learn in schools, with the realities in the field, giving them the opportunity to be orientated, trained and equipped with the competences needed to enable them gainfully penetrated the labor market, as well as create their own enterprises or community initiative programs, so they can contribute in societal development, as well lives their aspirations as professional.

Besides the opportunity we give every student to gain professional knowledge in their field of studies, we equally improve on their capacity through capacity building training in the course of their internship. We give them the opportunity to participate in real-life innovation management, venture creation and action-based internship. Students who participate in this professional internship program are put in the driver’s seat to experience professionalism firsthand. These students don’t only attend the program, they learn by acting, creating and reflecting. At the GAICAM International Professional Internship program, university students are given the opportunity to assess innovative ideas and work on real entrepreneurial projects within GAICAM and partner institutions, with an opportunity to regularly interact with entrepreneurs, business managers and other professionals.

Well-experienced professionals are always engaged to train and have real professional conversation with our interns; this is to give them a greater knowledge of creativity and activity. Throughout their internship, they interact with different professionals who are there to provide them with the required knowledge.  Our team of experts accompany students to write and defend their academic internship reports, and help them validate their internship course.
